A list of survivor-recommended Domestic Abuse Solicitors and Barristers in in the South East:
The Survivor Led Legal Database recommendation process and approval procedure only accepts positive recommendations via domestic abuse support organisations that run the scheme within their organisation. Recommendations to add a solicitor or barrister will not be accepted any other way than through those established survivor led channels.
This is not a database of solicitor/barristers to avoid and, therefore, we do not accept or publish this type of negative information. As such, we fully appreciate the limitations of the recommendation process because the Survivor Led Legal Database referral system only permits positive feedback and referrals.
The purpose of the database is so that survivors can have a list of potential legal representation in their area who have been recommended by other survivors who have used them.
With this in mind, while conducting research, users are encouraged to take note of the date a recommendation was made and, if a practitioner of interest has a reason given as to why they have been recommended, consider if the reasons for the recommendation are in line with your own needs.
With that said, should there be any safeguarding concerns, the Survivor Led legal Database would be open to removing any solicitor/barrister who poses any concerns about their suitability for the database.
